Dear Students and Parents,
These are the policies and guidelines used by Lisa Hanson to ensure the best possible learning environment and communication. These lessons are for anyone, whether you are a homeschooling family working with a Charter school, a student at a regular public school, a private schooled individual or an adult looking for a creative outlet.
Tuition
All payments are due on the first week of every month, in advance for that month.
Time Slots
Practice is what makes progress and teaches muscle memory, so I recommend 10-15 minutes of practice (or more), 3-4 times per week.
Thank you for the opportunity to share my knowledge with you and your students. I am looking forward to great learning and improvement of your musical skills!

Time Slots
- I will save your weekly time slot as soon as you set it up with me. If something comes up and the time needs to be changed, we will make every effort to find another spot that works for both of our schedules.
- Just like any other class that you sign up for, it is offered at your scheduled time and set aside for you. If you are not able to make a lesson, please let me know ASAP. Sometimes I can offer a makeup lesson within the week, but if no mutual time is found during that week, it is considered a lost lesson. No reschedules will be made for no-shows.
Practice is what makes progress and teaches muscle memory, so I recommend 10-15 minutes of practice (or more), 3-4 times per week.
- For piano lessons, bring a notebook, your lesson book, and any music that you would like to learn to each lesson. For voice lessons, bring a three-ring notebook, and a recording device to record the lessons and use the recordings for practice.
- Please be on time. If you are late, I will not extend your lesson into someone else’s lesson time.
- Partial refunds or credits for future lessons are not available.
- Have fun! I may ask my voice student to do some silly or goofy things, but it is all to learn, so please do not be afraid to try! I ask my piano students to stretch themselves musically; it is to bring you to the next level.
- Let me know if you would like to learn something that is not being taught. These lessons are for you, and I would like to help you improve as a musician.
Thank you for the opportunity to share my knowledge with you and your students. I am looking forward to great learning and improvement of your musical skills!
